Hi
This may sound really dumb but I am wiring a LP with RS pots -50s style, humbuckers- and I came accross some sprague parts in the "abyss drawer".
They look like bumble bees, they are light grey, have plastic covers and in black ink they read: SPRAGUE
.022 - 400 D.C.
118P22304S4
I also have the orange drops types ; 225p100v 223K 0350 at hand
Could somebody tell me whether those spragues are the right value for a set of Timbuckers I wanna put in there, or if I need to stick to the orange ones?
Thanks in advance.

If those caps are really old, they may have drifted up in value. You might want to measure them with a digital Multimeter to see where they're at. Then again, the old ear test is just as valid. If they sound good to you, it doesn't matter what their value is.
