Ok I was at Guitar Center over the weekend and played a 2013 63 Fender Relic Stratocaster. It played great and sounded unlike any other Strat I heard before. The sales guy could not tell me a thing about it other than it came out in 2013 and was a team built guitar with hand wound pickups by Josephine Campos. He said it has a 69 pickup in the neck, 65 in the middle, and a 60 in the bridge. I cant stress enough how killer the tone was. I looked high and low on the Fender sight and cant find anything about the guitar. Thinking maybe it was a road show guitar or some small tight run. I did find a link for it on the SW site but here again not much info as to what run this guitar came from. Help please. Very strange no info on the Fender site?

I would email the custom shop with the SN # and ask them. There are so many different combinations that The custom shop makes, you might not get any more info than what is on the SW site. If you have the $$$$$ matbe you should buyt it. Sounds like a pretty unique buid. That being said I would not look to pay a premium for it. There are so many "Rare" guitars being built that it seems like the none "Rare" builds are the real scarce models.

Hope it works out for you.

your best best is to call fender consumer relations. 408-596-7195. Give them your serial and as for the floor traveller and they will email you a .pdf with detailed specs.

what sort of info are you looking for?

I was just tying to find out how many were in the run and if this was just a limited kind of thing or maybe built for the Fender Raod show perhaps or something like that. At any rate I bought it today. Im Not a Strat guy but this thing was unlike any other Strat I ever heard since the 2005 original John Cruz master built Strat in sonic blue with the S1 switch. This thing is a monster. I see GC has a couple too. MAN are these great!

Not that I'm an expert but probably not a roadshow item... very well could be a special run done for a particular dealer....

Sounds like a killer guitar! play it in good health:salude
