Neck Position Capacitor Value?

I am putting together a Epiphone LP to go for a Jimmy Page circa ‘73 tone and was wondering about something. I’m using Bryan Williams MSG ‘73 pickups. I bought some Luxe capacitors and currently plans on using a .022 mF in the bridge and a .015 mF in the neck - also called the Woman Tone configuration. Obviously using the ‘50s style wiring. I have Vintage Inspired Pickups 550k pots too. Would the .015mF in the neck be my best option or would you say I should use a .022 mF in the neck? I know this is probably very subtle difference but I wanna get down into the nitty gritty details haha. Thanks!

I myself went with two .022 SOZO Mustard Caps on my Adam Jones LP Standard, but added a V-Treb variable Treble Bleed on the neck Volume pot, and a No Load Tone Pot on the bridge. It is exactly what I wanted out of the guitar. I used 500k CTS Pots all around.

Good luck.

I have 0.015 mf neck and 0.022 mf bridge PIO caps from Luxe in my 2014 R8 with Seymour Duncan Skinner Burst pickups. I prefer that to two 0.022 mf caps.

And I put in a tone pot with a switch so I could have both. :)

I wouldn't call the difference "subtle". The .015 has a bit of a "cocked wah" sound. Very cool, but not always what you want with PAF replicas.

That's exactly why I like them. I think, but I'm not sure, it's most obvious with PIO caps. I use Russians.

Not really that much of a difference. You’ll hear it tho, if you want to!
