• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

This is getting too.. Confusing. When someone gives a
Recomedation on a P/U or Magnet change,could you
Please state if the pickup is a Neck or Bridge that
you are refering to ?
It makes a world of difference, for instance the
Antiquity mod in my case sounds best with the II
in the neck but the V in the bridge (for now).
Toni says Alnico V but never states if the Bridge is
his prefered P/U or if he likes the Neck Tone.
The sound bites that were given, ED A said it was the
Bridge OK.
Toni did not say, and others that said they liked one
or the other did not say what P/U did it for them.
I know what I Like, but this could make it easier for
those who are just reading this and Wondering.;)1

Charlie,

for each guitar:

1=neck wide open
2=bridge wide open
3=both pickups, vol pots at 6 for the clean tone

Charlie.... I am enjoying the II in the neck and V in the bridge as well. The II seems to have a little bite and presense than the V in the neck that is.
