Hi all,

I'm just about to pull the trigger on a Mason Dixon amp. They are advertised as built to capture Allman Bros type sounds. I really like what I've managed to see/read so far but that is based on the very few reviews I have read and a the few Utube vids. Seems what I'm looking for but just wondered if they are OK to deal with. There are a lot of good reviews on their pedals but not a lot on the amps.
Does anybody have any experience of the company and their products - especially their amps?
Thanks in advance
Red

Edit 1: This is the amp I,m looking at;

Edit 2: well, looks like I'm going to be the guinea pig then as there is no response - no probs. 😱.
I have the Dickey Betts 2001 Gold Top LP Sig and 2003 Red Top sig too (yes, I got lucky) to put the amp through it's paces. So if anybody is interested at all, I will let you know the outcome of the new amp and if it's what it's described to be!

Edit 3:

Killah.
90% of that is pick ups and ridiculous technique.

I have amp #5 from early production.

I like it for ABB. Took some effort to dial in.

Def does the live at the Filmore tone.

Recently blew the speaker though.

EdA did the video you posted.

How is the overall build quality of these amps?
Post some gut shots, and pics!

Mine was too early a build for me to encourage or post gut shots.
Mine is 1973x style build, and whatever he is having built now is nothing similar.
Guessing cost was too high on the early builds.
That clip of Frank that EdA posted above is probably closer, but the Frank's playing sounds like that thru a solid state trademark 60, its all in his hands.
