• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What gauge strings do you have on your Les Paul's? I've used a .010 set forever, but I'm thinking of going to a .0095 or hybrid set with a .009. I 'm getting spoiled running hybrid sets on my Esquire and Strat, but they're a totally different beasts.

When I feel well I use the BB King Signature Pure Nickel 10-54 set. I also have guitars with Les Paul Signature Pure Nickel 9-46 for the times my illness makes for tender hands and fingers. I used light top heavy bottom gauge strings in pure Nickle the 10-52 strings since the late 70's and switched to the 10-54 BB King set when they became available.
