• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I've wanted one for years but had other guitar priorities. According to the shop, it'll be early-July before Gibson delivers it to them.

I've got an Epiphone Explorer bass coming in tomorrow. Korina. It's a righty, but I'll crank up the knobs, push them in, and leave them up to 10. No knobs in the way for this lefty.

Explorers look great no matter which part is pointed up.

That will be something you don’t see every day!
Before a friend suggesting pushing the knobs out of the way and plugging the cavity, I wouldn't have gotten a righty, but with an Explorer, there's no horn to get in my way. I just got a Jackson Kelly Bird righty bass, and I've gotten rid of the knobs on it.---The only trouble is, and I'm serious, it's upper point will impale me through the chest. I sit when I play it.

Congrats! Which one?

I have a Natural, keeping my eye open for the White 70s... [also picked up the Flying V in Aged Cherry].

Of course, I would love a Korina. Perhaps M2M will do that? hmmm.

Funny--the Epiphone bass is korina, but the Gibson Explorer ordered is mahogany.

I don't think USA will issue a straight-up korina, to keep the mystique for the expensive runs. Someday I will appeal for a M2M!
