Just read an old post about Gibson Goldtone GA 15 RV. I have one that has been fully restored. I would like to elicit options and fixes

I love these little amps. I find it close to the Matchless Spitfire, which I used to own.

It works nice with humbuckers and single coils. I would like to know what kind of sound you're looking for. I could see not digging it if you're into Marshall or higher gain toans.

If it doesn't work for you move it on. I think it's a real sleeper. The big ones are great as well. This series were pricey back in the mid-1990s. I know the brown ones can have OT issues.

15 watt EL 84 amps like the Goldtone have a sound of their own; not for everyone if you were weaned on Marshall or Fender. I have one and like it but I usually revert back to my 6V6 or 6L6 Fenders.
