• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Joe seems like a super passionate dude, hes not my cup of tea as a player but if he rang me up for lunch and some jamming id be lying saying i wouldnt wanna hang. that said his whole amp rig is INSANE. Its his way of showing the guitar geeks that populate the front rows of his shows the cool stuff. how many times have u seen a player and gone cool blah blah new guitar into a fender deluxe reverb reissue. at least by taking this stuff out hes showing us what these "mythical" amps and guitars can do i am all for that.

I did not think much of him until I went to see one of his shows, now I like him a lot, he is a class act.

I didn’t think his behavior was that of a class act. At least he left social media so maybe he learned something.

Sorry, I disagree.

Everyone has an off day or does something they regret.

His reaction may have been over the top; been there done that, hold my beer.

He has done very many great interviews and has contributed to ENTIRE guitar community greatly by answering questions and generally going the extra mile where many famous people have remained private.

His amp and guitar runs are things he didn't have to do and many were aimed at younger/newer guitar players.

To say he is not a class act indicates a lack of knowledge and history.

Is he famous? Outside of the guitar community, I doubt anyone knows who he is. Not that it's a bad thing, but ask the average person walking down the street to name three of his songs*, and I'll bet you $100 that maybe 1/10 people could. That's not to say he's a bad guitar player or anything. I think he's popular with a tiny segment of the population. If it makes him a living, all the power to him, but nobody would know who he was if he walked into a bar full of people aged 21-40. I give his marketing people credit because I would guess some people may know his name from the 800 popups they see proclaiming him the greatest living blooze man.

If not knowing he is a "class act" indicates a lack of knowledge and history, I'm the first to admit I don't. Maybe he's the greatest guy in the world. I give him props for quitting social media as long as he doesn't just log back on in a few months. I've seen him act like a jackass firsthand, so I'm more likely to have that opinion of him than what someone on a forum tells me.

* I admit that I can't name three of his songs. I know the one where he plays real fast, then slow, then fast, and the one where he plays real slow, then fast, then slow.

We get that you don’t like him and that’s OK. Time to let it go tho.

He is needed here.

But (in my opinion) we all need to have more fun or what's the point?

SO to Amp360, I was an asshole.

I went back and tempered my statements.

Please continue, you are valued greatly.
