Why hasn‘t Gibson released a replica of Jimmy Page‘s 1960 Les Paul Custom 3 pickup since he has had it returned to him? Yes, I know they released a tribute to this guitar in 2008 but not a dead on replica.
I think they should release 3 versions: a version as it was in 1960, new with the gold reflector knobs. Then a version as it was when Jimmy had it modded in the 70‘s with the switches and popped pickup covers and a version as it is now, restored. Or maybe just two versions. But definitely they should release something. I can‘t be the only one who thinks this?
Also, while we‘re on the topic: when will Gibson get it right with the gold reflector knobs? The reflector knobs on the 1960 LP‘s are good with the shiny top but every reflector knob with gold is „brushed“ not mirror like and it looks bad!
