JBL Speakers

I've been reading the threads regarding the JBL D-120's and was wondering if these speakers are available now as reissues and who carries them.

Last night, I was reading some Guitar Player back issues and noticed that some company was currently making a copy of the D-120's.

Can't remeber the issue, it was the one where they compared Alnico 12" speakers....sometime in the last 3 years.

I'll look it up tonight when I get home.

Weber makes a copy of the JBL D120 that is supposed to be pretty good. I use a pair of 131s which are the 16ohm version of the D-120, so that I can fget an 8 ohm load with 2x12s.

It may have been Weber VST. Their High Power series California model may be similar to a JBL.

The review says Standel makes the D120 copy but it costs $450!!! Holy shit! The Weber California is supposed to be similar to the JBL D's but it only costs 75 bucks. Somebody here had some old JBL's for sale, I think it was goodwood. JBL has no useful dealer info on their site.

The ones available from Weber have a 2" coil instead of a 4" one. I do appreciate everyone's help. Are the ones from Standel $450 each!!!. I could buy an old Fender amp for that kind of money.
