• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

iTunes - adjust song playback PITCH to A440 (Concert Pitch)

I have a Macbook Pro (newest version - just purchased) and a iPod Touch (3rd Gen, 32G)

I would like to find a reasonably priced App / Program so that I could make songs in iTunes playback at A440 (Concert Pitch) - so I don't have to retune my guitar to play along with a variety of songs.

I find so many songs are above (sharper) or below (flatter) A440. I want to keep the original iTunes song, copy it, edit it (to make it sharper or flater – so at A440) then save it. In other words I want to Tune the song to proper Pitch vs. have to retune my guitar (always keeping my guitar at A4440).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance !

I use a program called Transcribe, It's about 50 dollars but is worth every penny as you can change pitch and speed plus pull vocals out of some tracks. If your into working out songs without tab and such like then it's well worth owning.

Audacity is freeware and can do this easily.
