It looks like the veins/grain around the control knobs have gotten darker over time. Wondering if it’s spalting?

I have also noticed a green discoloration appearing in my guitar cavity I wonder if it’s related?

First photo taken recently. Last one was taken last fall I believe. Guitar is a 2022 R9 VOS in slow iced tea.

Here is the picture of the guitar cavity. Notice the green around the pots. Is it anything abnormal?

Hm. Pressure treated.
What do you mean?

I dont think the maple cap is pressure treated if that is what your indicating. The green tint in the cavity just recently developed in the past few months and was not there when I bought the guitar new in 2022. My guess is some minor "spalting" is happening which can also have a little green tint. Pressure treated wood would resist this.

Probably. Only takes a tiny bit. Inside. Not the shafts

idk if it would be spalting, because my thinking is that the heat from the kiln drying would/could kill any spores that were in there. I could be wrong though!

I think internet has concluded that I have overused deoxit and oil from the pot has leeched out and into the wood :/

At least I’m not Kirk Hammett breaking Greenys headstock

definitely got oil in your wood. I've seen it more with rusty stuff from using chemicals to strip a top and leaving the bushes in:
