How has your Rig evolved in 2021 ?

Hi all !
Despite of all the Covid stuff happening and lots of gigs being cancelled, it had its positive aspect too
Lots of spare time which I used to look for a better Tone in both my fingers and gear .
I went from Fractal Audio to Marshall Silver Jubilee combining the Fractal " Best Of Both Worlds" and adding a 1993 Gibson "Pre Historic" 1960's Reissue and a Gibson ES-335 to my collection.

Here is a little video about that and very curious how your rig has evolved this past year !

No change at all. My Mr. Springgy is getting funky and I’m looking for a new reverb pedal. Everything else is non-questionable

Well, at this point I don't really have a single"my rig," but more like a semi-ridiculous number of options.

I picked up 3 pieces of kit in 2021 that add some more choices to that. One is a Custom Classic AC30:, which I got (w/an amp cover and stand!) for the crazy price of $450 USD:

I didn't realise that AC30s do not have channel switching, so to augment the Vox I bought an E-H Switchblade+ A/BY switch, I've almost gotten that sussed, with the proper inputting and amp settings, though not quite:

I also picked up a beater Marshall Model 1510 bass cab. For $145 USD! It's a 4x10, but in a cab that's got the same height and width as their more ubiquitous 1960 4x12 cabs, and is several inches deeper, back to front. Works great for both bass and guitar! I bought a replacement gold grill corner badge for it:

I built several amps and one pedal. I bought one guitar, a MIM Hendrix Stratocaster, which I am really digging. I upgraded the tuners, bridge and pickups and it's probably the best sounding strat I've owned. I also sold a couple guitars.

Try that one….. great spring , rooms, plates !!

Nice looking Vox man ! Haven’t tried one out yet but really surprising how cheap they are….. might pickup the head version one day !

That switchblade might come very handy someday…..will keep in mind !

Nice looking amp and guitar man ! Those MIM guitars aren’t that bad at all as others sometimes write ….. like you did with some small adjustment, great guitars !!

I'm a minimalist when it comes to pedals, an Xotic EP Booster and the Danelectro in front of a PR 1x12(has the reverb and vibrato) and my 335.........it's a great sounding rig.

Maybe more of a devolve.
My 4x12 and Roccaforte custom 80, Komet and a few others are sleeping.
I've been just using the Tech 21 FlyRig and a few pedals. seems good for now.

The reason I ask is that there's a Komet 29 for sale in the UK, and I have the demo video on loop, I think it's sensational. Can't afford the bugger, but when did that ever matter....

I have the Komet Constellation. Great amp. Makes the hair on my neck stand up. I put that on top of the 4x12 and it's just amazing. It's a 30 watter I believe. I have a Komet attenuater that came with it. He actually recommended a 1960 cab for it.

Photos I can do a few new ones. um I'll pull the covers off and roll it out. It's green and a monster Marshall style. Doug actually made that cab for me. Dont know if he still makes them. Whew thats an amp. Scared the jeepers out of my cats last time I fired it up.

Fired em up today.
Down in the vault
Roccaforte Custom 80. Rock machine. Marshall like. I could play it for days. Doug made the cab for me.

The Comet has a kinda "hollow" voice. Lots of distortion if I want it. The volumes are separate and can be used together. Vol1 seems cleaner breaks up easy. Vol II is a lot more gain. Very nice sound. Hi cut really trims off the top end if I want to. There is a foot switch that came with it that I did not hook up for that photo. I also have the Komet Airbrake Attenuator for it too. Really cool amp. Straight from Baton Rouge.

When you finally row over the puddle and then up the Manchester Ship Canal, can you bring the Komet with you?

Rarely am I jealous, but I'm making an exception with these two.
