• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Just found out that historic makeovers will no longer be offering services to the public all work now only on guitars supplied by Marks Guitar Loft

It is a shame that this is happening was going to send a 335 for some work

Are you sure? I believe Dave Johnson has that arrangement.

I'd be surprised if Historic Makeovers also did a deal with MGL.

As indicated above, that is Dave Johnson Restorations, not Historic Makeovers. I would recommend that you call Kim and discuss your plans with him. He is great to deal with. I'm in the process of my 2nd makeover. The results are outstanding.

This is an example of how untrue things can become 'facts' on forums. Ok, on this occasion people stepped in to debunk it. But on more esoteric issues, such claims can quickly go viral as 'facts'. Please people, ask questions, don't write things as being 'how it is' if you are not 100% sure.

Oh yes. I am right no going to ask my friends at Gibson about the new "fact", that ES guitars are made in Memphis AND Nashville (which I can not believe).
