I know it's a pain but cover your fanny and repeat the process and leave nothing to chance and even follow it up with a phone call as well to make sure your specs are followed to the letter . Don't Trust , but verify and verify as you are paying good money for what you want !

By the way, in my email, I emphasized to them that the "Plum Crazy" finish must cover every inch of the LP, and not just the front. I don't want my M2M to have color on the front and bare wood on the back like you see on some LPs sold online.

But what are the chances of the CS totally screwing up the paint job on my M2M LP and applying the color only to the front of the body?
Gibson Custom will get it right every single time . What could go wrong is the Dealer could get the specs wrong and then you are messed up . Do your due dilligence as you are paying top $ . Best WishesI don't want to feel like I'm worrying too much.

I've mentioned this several other times in this thread, but it's because of additional complexity, plain and simple. Painting gloss white nitrocellulose lacquer guitars requires an extreme level of care through the finish department to avoid particles in the air as well as additional coats. The difference is commensurate with the M2M upcharge for this finish as well.
Not sure what you mean by new pickups. We launched the Pickup Shop officially late last year. But reissues are still spec'd with Custombuckers.
Both Alnico V, both same base spec. Custom Shop uses different covers. That's about it. It's the original P90 recipe so not much variation. We are working on aftermarket variants to launch this current year (like underwound, overwound, etc).

No, no difference in spec. Murphy Lab is a finish treatment, essentially. Same under the hood.
