• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Does anyone have any experience with this amplifier? I'm particularly interested in the stereo version, the Guild Model 200-S combo. I'm hoping to check this amp out this week sometime but I'd like to know a bit more about it. The example I saw (but have not yet played) was manufactured at Guilds Hoboken, NJ factory sometime in the late 50's to mid 60's. It has 2 channels which can be played simultaneously in true stereo. It has two 12" Jenson speakers and a quick glance (in the dark) found what appeared to be el34 power tubes installed.
I've done some basic research on the web but came up with very little detail on this amps tone. Any details about this or similar Guild amps would be appreciated.

I know this is an old thread, but I found it while random searching today. I have one of these amps. Did you ever look at it? Mine is awesome. Two separate EL-34 amp sections driving individual Jensen P12P speakers on angled V front baffles for true stereo sound. I actually have a '59 Gibson GA-79 RV with the EL-84s and P10Q speakers. Similar concept, but obviously different execution. The Guild is Thunderous!

I also know this is an old thread, but thanks for the reply!

Unfortunately, the amp was sold already when I went back to play/purchase it...all those years ago lol
