• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I just got a flyer in the e-mail, turns out that the Greeny/Moore burst is scheduled to be present in the UK at Haydock Park guitar show in May, exhibited by the current custodian....

After all that has been said on here recently, I thought this may be of some interest.

This year will be the first time I won't be at the Haydock show for about 5 years. Damn it.

Congrats! In spite of all the hoopla about it being shown in public, it is a beautiful Les Paul. And, to quote someone else here, "the guitar doesn't know or care who owns it".

I'm gonna have to go anyway, aren't I? I already missed my shot at tickets for Kate Bush today, I don't think I can really let this slip by.

The owner would like it back, and has asked for the same in extremely clear terms, but PH is refusing.

The Greenie saga continues.

So it's being held hostage?

It's all true to form with "fingers".

Although these things are never simple, it is indisputable that the owner wants the guitar back with him immediately and is being given the run around.

I would imagine this could end up a legal mess if the owner has no paperwork to prove it's on loan. Phil could simply say it was a gift. How then could the owner prove otherwise? Can you spell LITIGATION?

Really? That's terrible! As you say, he certainly lives up to the 'fingers' nickname.

Why is it not simple? If he has proof of ownership, I would show up to this show with the police and a court order and collect the guitar.

If I remember correctly (from a previous thread) that no one was positively sure who the actual exact owner was.
