Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
I literally am a bit teary. He was so funny. I've got about 30 episodes of the AGS Tivoed.....I think late tonite I'll sit and do a bit of remembering.....
Thanks Don for all you did to help cheer people up and for the ever important comedic perspective on life! I loved the quote at the end of the article regarding his brief stint on the daytime drama "Search for Tomorrow."
"That's the only serious thing I've done. I don't miss that"
What an awesome man. He could just always make people laugh. I really admired his antics! I couldn't imagine growing up without Barney Fife!!! How sad...
Sure, we all loved Barney.
But to me, he was special.
I went to see The Reluctant Astronaut with my first girlfriend when we were 9 or 10 years old.:dang
:rip
Don Knotts was one of my favorite actor/comedians. I loved him when I was a kid. I remember watching this one over and over again on the Million Dollor Movie. Remember that, when the showed the same movie over and over again.
IMO..Don Knotts was one of the last 'clean' funny guys. His character - Barney Fife is one that will always bring back great memories of Mom,Dad,Brothers and Sisters sitting around watching Andy Griffith and laughing like mad at Barney. Even got my kids loving Mr. Limpet and Apple Dumplin Gang!!
