Well, consider it info for the uniformed.:salude
Looks like they uploaded the ones I took last year,
Of course this burst sounded better through Marshalls!!!! Even though Gary's bridge pickup sounded a bit on the underwound-weak-thin side live the several times I saw Skynyrd back in the day. Allen Collins' bridge pickup sound with the P90 was a lot "sweeter" on the Firebird.
I came across this thread while wondering about this guitar. It was purchased in 1973 from Gruhn Guitars. George Gruhn is a good friend of mine and I asked him about it. He said it was in perfect condition in 1973 but got some damage over time. He says it got a broken headstock in 1977 which was crudely repaired with glue and 2 screws. He also says he really does not remember the actual sale (which is odd because he remembers EVERYTHING).All of the photos show the LP without the ding on it. Any idea when that arrived? Pretty distinguishable. I am looking at one for sale. Not sure maybe. Seems like Tom missed the exact placement for the ding. The original is clearly on the top seam, and the extra dot fairly close. The repos are way over towards the pots and the second ding is variable guitar to guitar.
