• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

A close friend of mine who is running front of house for Skynyrd called me today and said Gary was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon not long before the scheduled show and it "doesn't look good". Obviously last night's and tonight's shows were cancelled but from what I'm told there is deep concern for him at present. I thought some of the fans here may like to keep him in thoughts and prayers and hope for a speedy recovery.

I hope he gets well soon. I'll be playing some Skynyrd all weekend on my Rossingtons to channel good vibes to him.

If he is out for any length of time, do you think the band will replace him?

Get well soon Gary. Huge LS fan and seen the band a couple times in the last couple years. Really like Gary's playing.

News reports say he has an abdominal infection.

That's pretty much what I was told and didn't realize that an abdominal infection could be life threatening or as serious as my friend made it out to be. Where can I find that story? Thanks.

Well, I guess I should have just Googled. The story seems to be everywhere but really no specifics at all yet.

You better believe any internal infection can get deadly quickly.

My mom had ulcerative colitis and her sister died of a bursted infected intestine.

Eddie Van Halen had a severe case of dierticulitis (i can't spell the term) that dang near took him out as well.

Diverticulitis. It's bad.
I know more about ulcerative colitis than I ever wanted to.
