And I have to ask (simply because the abuse of the term "straw man" into a pejorative in todays society to actually do the same thing it is calling out as shown here) isn't the very act of showing a "laugh 'til I cry" emoji while implying that it couldn't possibly be that good sounding because of the price and therefore the person paying it is deluding themselves somewhat of a straw man in itself?

In context: Yes (or yaaaaaas queen as you put it) we spend huge amounts "chasing the grail tone" in other ways.

Boom? Raise your pickup with a half or full turn of the screw on the low E side and you will get boom alright. Are you sure you guys are not changing the set-up while doing these mods and that is where you are getting the better tone? I can relate to a bad saddle with a bad notch causing some problems, but a thumbwheel? Anything is possible I guess.

Have you tried changing stainless steel thumbwheels for brass ones? I tried it and there is a noticeable, actually pretty big difference in sound. It was the best $5 I’ve ever spent..

It is an inexpensive and easy thing to try. My R9 is a 2021 so I think it already has the brass thumb wheels, otherwise what the hay, give it a shot.

Ah! Both of my Les Pauls had SS thumbwheels so the difference was pretty big. My Norlins have brass.

I just installed the Four Uncles ABR1 in my CC13 and it sounds awesome! I’ll install the second one shortly in my other Les Paul.

I installed two of them last week and they are killer! Reed-sounding and lots of harmonics. Huge improvement over the stock bridge and helped balance out the instrument.

Brass thumbwheels and vintage-wire Wizz pickups, paired with the Four Uncles bridge sounds amazing!
