Not darker or clearer just fuller !

I agree with the bridge. It is noticeable. As I kept the strings on it and A/B’d factory to FU bridge and it was definitely improved. It’s hard to describe sound or tone. I wouldn’t say clearer or darker either. But fuller like a slight warmer to it but definitely noticeable. However I do believe I changed the thumbwheels to brass when I did the test so that may have been part of the equation as well

- My Four Uncles ABR-1 is the NOS version. The saddles came unnotched, now they are, but notches are tiny !
- The strings are more balanced all the strings sound fuller . You don't get more "this" or less "that", you get more TONE period.
- Since september 2020, Gibson Custom Les Pauls come with brass thumbwheels. A must !
You can see on that pix here, that the Four Uncles ABR-1 is truly an "oeuvre d'art" (a work of art) !

How does a pice of metal like a bridge have a break in period? It’s either or. No such thing. You hear guys talking about their guitar “opened up” after playing it. Bullshit. You got better playing it

Yes they started using brass thumbwheels around 2019/2020 models. Before then, the post was brass the thumbwheel was steel at least on my 2015 TH69 this was the case. Others can confirm
