• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Flametop Friday!!!

Well, IMO the king of the Monster Flametop's is still standing. I have no idea who owns this one now, it used to be Rob's (LPFlametop) but I haven't seen him around here for a while now.
Anyway here she is...The Boatanchor from 1998 :dude: -

Top right in the last photo....have mercy!

Hey DJ... Yeah those early-mid 90's double stained tops are really crazy.

BTW It was awesome to see you at the VGS. Thanks for letting me check out that all original 57 Strat. You were getting some killer tones out of it. Really slick playing too man :salude

No worries, it was good talking with you guys! That Strat sold the next day...its 9/56 neck had the most deadly hard V. As for tone, I've gotta admit that I've never been so awestruck by an amplifier as I am with that particular '55 Bandmaster. To me that thing is a real grail amp, and with the 335 it's just about as good as it gets :dude:

I had a great time at the show, but I'd really like to see a more inspiring vintage assortment. I'm hoping that next year we can do a 2-3 table display and bring a whole lot more stuff out. More TWEED!
