What year was the first Historic Les Paul Custom released?
It had an ink serial number that was of the historic type 7 4xxx. Since it was called a 57.Thanks! I believe the official Custom Shop started in 1993. Does your 94/95 have any special serial number? Wonder if they did any pre Historic Customs?
I bought this BB new in 1994.It weighs 10lbs, and has a very slim neck.
All PUs have a black PAF sticker on them. I painted the pu covers and pick guard when I got it.
Im not sure about the neck tenon, and don't know how to tell if it has a long or short tenon.
Ive have read several posts that state these guitars are weight relived
Any info would be welcome..
regards

Someone at the other forum posted X-rays of a 96 or 97 historic Custom and it had short tenon with swiss cheese holes, so safe to assume any made before were the same.
i painted the rings and pickguard white as a tribute to Peter Frampton.
When FCA was released and I saw his custom, it was my dream to have one.
Most of my buddies were looking at Penthouse, or Playboy, I was looking for any guitar magazine that had a Les Paul in it I could find..lol.
At 16 I bought a Omega Electra x210 that was a pretty good guitar. (wish I had kept that one)
A few years later, I traded a Strat, for factory 2nd 2pu BB.That guitar was a beast, no mods to it.
I sold it to a friend while going through a divorce, he still has it. I have 2 Customs now, the BB that you see, and a Custom in alpine white. A Martin D 41 has found a home here as well. I am one lucky guy..
