Those early 90's 1028P blue alnicos are truly amazing. I have yet to find a better 10" speaker to use in old fenders. Hopefully everything really is the same. I have an early blue 1028K, as well, that I also enjoy. I bought a newer version of that speaker that is supposed to be the same. Even after endless hours of trying to work it in it still doesn't give me what that blue 90's 1028K does. Makes me wonder if there isn't other things like the cone that also add in some of the magic to those early 1028P's.

In my experience, the Jensen P10R sounds really good in a Fender tweed style amp after breaking in. The high-mids are troublesome at first and have to be tamed. I don't care for them in later BF and SF Fender amps even after break in. The P10R-F sound interesting, thanks for posting. The rep at Sweetwater tells me the Eminence Blue Frames will be arriving in June. I'll wait for the reviews before plunking down $600 for my old beat-up Bassman RI that's probably only worth $600 itself:). You never know with these things.
