Yes i agree Calhoun Tubbs should get his.
To be fair the Mississippi Delta Blues Artists and the Chitlin circuit didn't really get the recognition they did until the British Invasion in the 1960's melding them all together with the Brits and those guys got paid well to go England and new record deals ect.
Those Blues Artists never got American audience recognition up until that point for whatever reasons.
Are all things equal in the music industry, hardly but neither is life.
As for now can't really say who's playing originated from what because music artists are constantly changing & reinventing themselves.
Im not a Bonamassa fanboy per say but i do respect him as a gearhead and guitar player.
I saw him on WSM/Grand Ole Opry couple nights ago playing thru a Dumble Overdrive Special combo [ala HAD RIP] the the guy totally destroyed.
I watch that channal all the time and the regular hired guns and backup singers on stage were really into it more than normal with JB.
