Early 60's Stickered Patent No. Humbucker

I have what looks to be an early 60's stickered PAF, but the one with the Patent Number on it. There is something wrong with it (output is very weak). Is it worth having someone look at it/attempt to repair it, or should it just make its way to the trash can? Seems to look a lot like the real PAFs that were identified by close-up photos by Karl and others. Thanks.

i have a few of them around, prices seem to be going up them...i like the fact that they are the "poor mans paf!!"...

Those are PAFs, and every bit as good. Prices seem to be around $200-$400 on ebay depending on how it is listed, and condition.
I'd have it looked at, chances are it may not need rewinding.

early 60's sticker pat no pup

Hey Mike, if you have a pre-1967 pre-T top patent sticker pup with some kind of problem, in all seriousness I would be happy to have a look at it for you. Actually I might like the chance to do some visual comparison with one of those I have, an earlier pat. no. pup with the PAF style bobbins, apparently from between sometime around 1962 to around 1967. I also might like to compare to the pups in my 1964 ES355.

There are a couple of things I could think of that could go wrong that could be fixable without really serious surgery ie. a rewind. I've rescued a few otherwise given-up-for-dead hums.

I have 2 pre t top Pat stickers. Both have a small blemish on one of the colis. A little bump, and a few other similar marks where the molds were going out. One reads 7.5k the other 7.6k

Mine measures 7.65K . Hey Tonefiend with yours is the little circle around the square hole slightly different in size on the two bobbins?

no there pretty close. But there is a little splotch of excess plastis on the screw sied right under the screw hole on the non windoiw side on both pickups.
