Does this settle any arguments?

mesa still makes great shit. i got my first mesa in 1981. my boy doc has done countless world tours with the brains and sparky (his triple wreck) w/ zero issues.

i literally smoked my fender zinky dual professional on saturday and replaced it with my mesa mk25> mesa thiele w/ a ev 12l and went right back to tracking.

wanna start poking holes in a rig? put a 7 w/ a low a thru it.

My best friend ordered a new MkV:25 and it arrived dead. Sent it back for a refund. Had another one shipped from a different shop, that one also arrived dead. Got his money back again and found a used 90w MkV head on Craigslist and that one has worked flawlessly.

It seems as though they have fired Randall Smith, now.

I don't care one iota about Mesa, but Cesar Gueikian seems more intent on destroying competitors than in bringing universal joy to the music world.

I have had my own personal interactions with him that have left me wary.

I had the Fillmore 50 combo for two weeks. I sounded amazing at home. However I couldn’t hear it for the life of me in a band mix. Tried multiple settings. It just never cut through for me. Got a 1982 music man rd50 112 combo with a ev12l and happy as a pig in…it’s a tiny cab, but it cuts in a mix like nobodies business without being harsh.

I have my LP Special in A Standard for doom riffing, and my Hiwatt DR103 and Reeves DR504 never spring a leak. Even when hit with very hot distortion and fuzz pedals they kick like a mule with incredible definition.

People talk often about piano like clarity from guitar amps, well after getting my two Custom 100's I know exactly what that sounds like.
