• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Okay, I just watched Zepprella play the Lemon Song.....WOW..... I can't help but wonder something though....With all of those lemons on stage do they have a bushels worth?? I'm just sayin'....

Hey Joe! Man you should work the Lemon Song into your set! and Since I've Been Lovin' You...That would bring the house down!

There was a guitar in that video?

Seriously, that guitar must be crazy good. Maybe it's just me, or it's something goofy with the mics, but in every video of that guitar that I have ever watched on the web I'd swear that I can almost hear it ring out acoustically over the amp in the recording. I know the amp isn't really turned up loud, but still, it just seems like a ridiculously acoustically resonant guitar.

Did you read some of the comments at the bottom of the Gretchen Menn video. Here's my favorite...

"Hey Larry, I have a 1959 Gibson Les Paul that was handed down to me by my grandfather. This thing has been in the family for some time, but I wanted to mod it a bit and get different pickups for it. What do you recommend for playing mostly metal music. I've never been into the blues or classic rock. Should I sell it and get me a strat? or will changing the pickups make my guitar sound better? please help. I dont know much about electric guitars."

^ I'll rush out and buy a Jackson and a Strat for that poster with whatever pickup combo thay desire. Of course I'll take that terrible old guitar off their hands as part of the deal.

Many of you probably already know this, but Larry's amazing '59 is 9 2196. You can see it at Burstserial.com (a great website!) After looking through all the Les Paul's in my "Beauty of the Burst" book by Yasuhiko Iwanade, and as many as I could at the Burstserial.com, Larry's is my favorite figured top. Love those phat curly ribbons. Now if Gibson would make a remake of that particular model (the guitar, not the girl)....And BTW, the girl is just a figment of our imaginations...
