Hi everyone,

Anyone here own a Custom Authentic 1968 Black Beauty Les Paul Reissue.? I need some opinions & Comparisions. Is the neck on the 68 bigger than the 57 Goldtop Reissue? I have a Goldtop on order for $ 2200, but I can change my mind and order the Custom Authentic instead for $2500.

Thanks for your help,

Kenneth

I don't own one of the 68 BB's, but I did play one in a store a few days ago. I didn't notice any difference in neck size between it and my '57 GT - my guess is that they are more or less the same.

I like the look of the Authentic BB but how does its weight compare with a R7 or R9.

I feel the same way as alot of folks do about LP weight. If its over 9#, its too heavy. The BB I used to own came in at around 9 on the nose. Same with the R9 I now own.
