Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
As in the same thread you posted on the other forum, you won’t get a single meaningful answer without anyone knowing your string action and neck relief. You have several replies on the other forum already
the distance from the bottom of my thumbwheels to the deck is 3/8" and I sleep well at night ... I try not to obsess about small details . that's all I got
I like that actually. If the pitch is too shallow, the strings may scrape the pickup rings and you have to lower the pickups ever so slightly lower than the bridge pickup ring. That also means the guitar plays weird up past the 12th fret. None of that makes me happy.
Look up pictures of Jimmy Pages #1 Burst, his bridge is way up there and the PAFs rise clear from the rings nicely.
