• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Could you audition for this band?

They send you this demo.

To see if you've got what it takes.

I doubt my competencies would qualify me to stand in the audience...

Battleship performance.

If I auditioned,

and they actually hired me,

I would probably be invisible

just like the organist.

NASA stole from The Who.

@3:49 in the video.

Pete passes max q and throttles up 110%.

Holy Smokes- these HD film scans look incredible! Big props to whoever did the remastering.

Here's another from this set:

Hmm.

I could not audition for drums. I don't play those.

I play bass. But not anything like Ox.

I do vocals. But not anything like Daltrey.

Could I audition on guitar? Sure.

Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't get the gig. But I'd sure as fuck audition!

Forum software made it seem like post hadn't gone through. Never seen a post need to be "approved" before.

Just teasing.

Post approval is the occasional blip many of us have incurred. There should be a bitch thread in The Front Desk.

Reminds me of a more or less well known story from their ’73 tour (although I can’t remember the exact details). Keith Moon had been rockin’ on the horse size pills and wasn’t in a position to make it to (or at least through) the set. The drummer of the support act (Lynyrd Skynyrd no less, presumably Bob Burns) was asked to step in but was similarly incapacitated, so an audience member had to stand in; don’t know if there was any time for auditioning though…

Naw, no worries. It's just the internets. I can deal with momentarily looking like a doofus, there's innumerable times I've looked way dumber for stuff that was entirely my doing. :lol :salude

I am not worthy of carrying Pete's water, but I certainly used to channel him for all I was worth. I have the bent and broken tuning pegs and chipped headstocks and busted knuckles from low ceiling gigs to prove it. :dude:
