• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your experience of seeing Cream on their first US tour in the 2nd half of 1967. What they were playing back then was new & exciting for many. The bootleg recording of their performance at the 'Whisky' is pretty good [at least we have it to listen to!]

It's funny how this youtube video, "audience recording,"--probably off a mixer-- bootleg, isn't tagged with a cream copyright, but instead, Orchard music and Sony etc, snags it because at the very beginning, the house was playing The Yardbirds., Psychodaisies (Beck and Page on guitar) for a few bars...

Stand and Deliver, Google demon.

The real copyright battles are so murky and obscenely controlled by globalist companies---but people are complaining about Clapton, when really it is scammer attorneys skimming from artists AND youtubers.

Very cool! I didn`t know that the 'house music' being played before Cream started playing was The Yardbirds w/ both Page & Beck! It [the 'Whisky A Go Go' bootleg] sure is a great 'live performance' of Cream before they grew weary of performing so often when they returned to the US the following February [1968]. Another great bootleg recording of Cream on their 1st US [ 'Aug thru Oct/Nov 1967] is their performance at the 'Grande Ballroom' in Detroit. Again their music was 'new & exciting' for most everyone back then. You saw a great band pretty much at their 'improvising peak'.

You know what the whole Fuxing world had become way too sensitive for me. Because its Clapton the guy cant have have a right or an opinion or is it because he's Clapton he is supposed to only have far leftist Hollywood elite views on the world only.

Let me remind you this is the same guy that in the mid 70's caught hell because he said he supports Enoch Powell and his immigration policies and stated " “I don’t want you here, in the room or in my country,” Clapton said. “Listen to me, man! I think we should vote for Enoch Powell. Enoch’s our man. I think Enoch’s right, I think we should send them all back." and right away the guy was dubbed a racist.

The man has a right to his opinions both personally and politically and he dont need the worlds approval weather he decides to share them or not or even explain them. Muhammed Ali was dubbed a hero for his political views on the war and becoming a Muslim and because he was black that was just fine. Some would say he was a draft dodger and used the Muslim faith to dodge the war. Clapton was dubbed a racist for his immigration views in the 70's and now Clapton certainly dont need Robert Cray, The WP, or Rolling Stone's permission but yet he is now dubbed SHAMEFUL!

You nailed it. I couldn't have said it any better!

There is a story somewhere that Terry Kath of Chicago had slagged off Clapton during a press release in the UK, claiming "He sucks!" and shouted: Fuck you England, you motherfuckin’ teabag faggot motherfuckers!”

Even Danny Seraphine (Chicago's drummer) was quite surprised at Terry Kath's colorful language.
