• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Last December I had the Custom Shop redo the finish on Donna.l

Wow, big decision, was it already refinished?

It sure looks good. Not everyday the paint-shop gets to shoot the real thing.

oh my.. what a thread!

maybe a dumb question: does anyone have any candid shots of Pearly?

1953.. a stunning specimen, indeed (they are all magnificent, but that one really excites me)

I will also pass a thank you to everyone posting pics! I'm humbled to be here.

hee hee... I forgot about that one (I had seen it once a while back). Thank you, Sir!! Pearly is the first one that I ever saw. Older cousins were jamming the Rev when I was about 8/9 and they always spoke of the "magic" in the Les Paul he played (none of them played music.. just listened). I was just beginning to play then, and I've been chasing his 'magic' ever since.

^^ Morning wood? :laugh2:

Damn! the mineral streaking, and the forearm fade plus the nice tight irregular flame are standing out to me. The cherry on the horn and toggle area is really beautiful in that light.

Did you take the pic, Charlie?

Here's one where Pearly is "dressed". :)

^^ Another nice one!!

One thing that amazes me is that figured maple has a perspective to offer in every conceivable light source (or rendering).

Have you ever played Pearly, Tom? If so, would you mind telling us about it?
