Hi

I joined the forum because i'm looking for advice on building a Les Paul Jr.
I have been playing guitar for 10 years, and woodworking for one.

The plan is to build the body from scratch and buy an aftermarket neck.
I've found many videos about building telecasters like this, because it's easier with the bolt-on neck.

Has anyone here built their own Les Paul? is it doable with an aftermarket neck, and which should i get?
Any advice is welcome, really.

It's doable - but obviously not he easiest thing in the world to get them to match up.
I've poked around on Ebay for these things - I have ideas to build my own guitar as well - and |I've seen routing templates for
pretty much every model known, including LPJs.
I don't have opinoins as to specific builders, but you'll probably want to go for one with as unformed a tenon as possible, to let you shape it right for your body.
In my case, I'd probably go scratch for the neck, but get a pre-slotted fretboard - the accuracy there is the biggest thing scaring me.
