The first concert I ever attended was Squier opening up for Queen at the Philadelphia Spectrum in 1982. Great show by both artists.

I saw him a year later. Nazareth opened. Billy Squier was really good. Nazareth was not.

Yeah so what. ...... B. Squier made a bad music video which got a lot of air time on MTV. Don't watch if you don't like it.:mad:

I prefer to focus my attention on the cool vintage guitars he plays - and his "fresh" '80s approach to rock music. Yeah I know - the synthesizer is overdone, but most of the arena rock bands were overdoing obnoxious synthesizers back then.

Bursting on to the rock scene in the early 1980s, he was somewhat of a rock 'n roll wiz-kid.

This is how I prefer to remember B. Squier.......

Love Billy Squier. I saw him a couple of times back in the 80s -- one show was opened by Ratt -- and also saw him on the 2009 tour. He was still playing great; he played a Les Paul Special most of that night, but pulled out some others as needed.

Saw Billy Squier open for several bands. Always a great opening act and typically as good or better than the headliner. Never got the critical acclaim he deserved. Another guy is Pat Travers. Opening band for so long and always an awesome band. Pat Travers is highly underrated.
