Apology to the forum members

I have to offer an apology to all the forum members for my recent actions. I made some negative comments about the LPF in another forum and it has created hardship between Lily and I. I also used an alias to make some snide and hurtful comments about a forum member I had a falling out with, as well as some very negative comments about the Gibson guitar company in general. I let my emotions get the better of my better judgement and for that I apologize to all the members.

I considered leaving the forum over this, but I decided that the best course of action for the health of the forum is to face up publically to admit my lapse of judgement. I make no excuses for what I did. In retrospect I feel incredibly stupid. I put Lily in a very bad position, and in the process hurt her as well.

I am very sorry about what has happened, and I hope that the members can forgive me for what I have done, and the forum can move on in a positive direction. Please support Lily and may the forum contiue to grow and prosper in the future.

I'm sorry, Lily.

Thank You

Dave,
By offering an apology, for all the world to see, has elevated you in my eyes, and I already thought pretty highly of you.
Being able to say "I was wrong, and I owe you an apology" is not an easy thing to do.
Amends are so important in life. So is forgiveness.

You're still OK in my book! :dude

Well, as a long-time member I can, again, honestly say . . "I have no idea what happened."

But I can live with that . . .
:yay

Jeez, Dave... if we ALL had to leave because of a lapse in judgment, this place would be a friggin' ghost town...!

Besides, it takes a VERY good person to admit that they've made a bad choice, and even more so when it's done in a public forum.

I hope everyone can get beyond whatever transpired, and move ahead in a positive manner.

You're O.K. in my book, bro...! :dude

Well done, and insofar as I can (not being involved) I hope the rift can be healed. We need your knowledge, as well as Lily's guidance...

Go buy a Epi Les Paul and burn it at the alter for your penance and all will be forgiven. :duke

Its easy to get caught up in things. Don't know what its all about but the important thing is you wouldn't have written a public apology if you didn't care and felt remorse. You are no phoney from what I can tell by hanging out with you.

Dave many of us have hit the post button when we shouldn't have. Something about these silly forums can get the emotions running deep. I've screwed the pooch a couple times myself. You've done the right thing, now everyone else will too.

Anyone who says they've NEVER had to open ass and remove head, or open mouth remove foot, probably has one or the other firmly planted in the respective place.
To err is human, to forgive is divine. To ASK forgiveness, is usually harder than giving it, IMO.

Dave, count me in with the numbers of those unhip to what happened. Apologies aren't easy and I hope, forum aside for a moment, those involved will find peace and look to the future.

Best regards to all,

TT

Dave, Stick around here long enough and you'll put your foot in your mouth; we've all done it! Ya' can't take things back, all you can do is set out to make 'em right. You've always been A.O.K. in my book, and this is just another example of why. You've given FAR more to this place than you've taken, unlike a LOT of guys that are no longer here. . .If this place is Sgt. Halko's foot, then you're the big toe! :yay :yay
