An original Sovtek Mig 50 from the early-mid 90's. I had no idea how to use it properly back then. The online demos I've heard of the newer Electro Harmonix version sound like a totally different amp to me and not for the better

I still have my Sovtek Mig 50 head , got it new back in 99 . It's a workhorse , now serving as my small bass amp with a 2x12 Bergantino cab. For Guitar I use a slant cab 4x12 Marshall. solid amp . I've let 2 amps go to friends who needed them more, loved both but now they do too . A Marshall ASD 100 acoustic and a first edition Peavy Classic 30 ..great EL 84 southern Fried AC 30

I had a Dr. Z maz18 2x10 combo with red tolex that had some sort of magic in it. I sold it after a divorce left me poor, thinking I’d just replace it once I was on my feet again.

Since then I’ve had two other maz18’s, a Cure, and a Carmen ghia - and none of them had the same mojo. That red one was just perfect for me…I’ve always regretted parting with that one!

Every time I see this thread my heart gets heavy for my JMI 30/6.

But in better news, I just managed to buy my Divided by 13 BTR23 back recently for what I sold it for. Sounds as good as I remember.

Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb. Best blackface Fender I ever played. Let’s see, a Dr Z Joe Walsh amp, Marshall 1974 18w reissue, Sonny Jr Four Ten 59 Bassman clone. Victoria Bassman. Still have a couple very nice amps tho.
