Definitely a cool moment here at the beginning of 'Toys'--a mix-up between Tyler & Perry & Whitford. I`m guessing that Tyler had previously messed up/mixed up the order of the lyrics & the 'chorus'--however this time he got it right singing the lyrics first but Joe Perry [as well as Whitford] had anticipated that Tyler would mistakenly & incorrectly sing the 'chorus' before the lyrics. So Joe then gives him a little crap--you can hear him say something like 'Do it one way or the other' & then as they continue, Tyler starts messing w/ him by moving the mic right into his face & then singing/shouting into Joe Perry`s ear [& maybe even 'flippin` him afterwards--not sure if it`s his middle or index finger!] Altogether this is all pretty funny! I wonder if there was further discussion between the 2 about this afterwards--nonetheless, it`s great to see them in their classic Aerosmith years performing & rockin` on stage. They were terrible the only time I`ve ever seen them--a big disappointment.

I've seen Aerosmith probably a dozen times going back to '93 and Livin on the Edge. |They keep getting better every time I| see them, with one exception. In 2012, I think, Boston Garden, it was just an off night. No energy coming off the stage, and that was reflected in the audience. I don't know what was going on there, but i was very disappointed. I did see them a year or 2 later and it was much better - back to their usual standards.

I saw Aeros*** one time in late November, 1978; it absolutely sucked the worst.
This was during the period in which Joe and Steven were both junkies doing horse.
My ears were ringing for THREE f***** days; it absolutely sucked.
SO loud you could not even know what song they were playing. It was the worst show in the 46 years I have been going to concerts.
I never went to see another Aeros*** show ever again.
Thank goodness .............

Yeah I also was very disappointed when i saw them in the late 70`s. However just their 2 LPs--'Toys in the Attic' & 'Rocks' are too good to dismiss Aerosmith entirely. I hope you`ll take an hour or so to watch the above performance by them as it is really good & nice to know that they can 'rock on stage' occasionally even in their 'classic drug-infested 70`s rock' days--I think it`s great show & it`s nice to see them perform the way we wish they would`ve every night. PS: supposedly the video will be removed by this week`s end.

I have owned copies of GYWs, TsITA, and Rocks for decades; some of the best studio stuff ever but then that aint live music.

The venue I saw Aerosmith play in was the main venue locally for larger shows; it was about 10,500 capacity.
From 1976 through 1987 I saw a TON of classic bands in that venue; Rainbow, REO, ZZ Top, KISS, Bob Segar and TSBB, Styx, Van Halen, Bad Company, ELO, Mahogany Rush, Pat Travers Band, Scorpions, Ted Nugent, Rush, David Lee Roth (w/Steve Vai) first solo tour, and many others.
Many of the bands played tunes that were nearly just as they sounded on radio and beyond professionally done.
Aerosmith without any doubt was the biggest disappointment.
I saw the Joe Perry Project about three years later (opened for ZZ Top) at the same venue and they pretty much sucked too.

My brother and his wife went to a few Aerosmith shows in the mid to late 1980s and 1990s after the band got their second wind and eventually got their s**** together. My brother said they sounded great. Go figure .......

That`s a great video as well--thank you! I was a fan of their 2 LPs in the mid 70s--'Toys in the Attic' & 'Rocks'--luckily those ended up being the great 'rockers' of their entire catalog so it`s great to see a decent 'live performance' of them during that era. In the video you shared Steven Tyler puts on a great show--so glad i finally have seen them in their 'classic rock' years even if it`s just a video or two.

Pretty good video of a classic from 'Toys' [it seems that Joe Perry`s SG 'craps out' for the ending solo though...btw Steven Tyler says this is his favorite Aerosmith tune]

Mine too, long before I ever heard him state that! I used to replay that again... and again... and again, in the days you had to pick up the needle and drop it.

Seasons of Wither, You See Me Crying are great, too, for piano songs.

I even like Lighting Strikes, ha-ha, at least passages of it.

And My First Your Face, actually Done With Mirrors is OK in my book.

I only saw them once--in the late 70`s & they were terrible which was a big disappointment as I really like their 'Toys in the Attic' & 'Rocks' LP`s. So having the original `77 YT performance released last week was great for me to see them in that era.
If anyone isn`t familiar w/ the studio version on 'No More, No More', here it is--a great tune about being in a rock band & what a great outro/ending solo by Joe Perry--
