• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Can't tell what the spots are, but if you look closely at the pictures, it looks like there is a hole/ding/mark in the finish wherever there is a spot. So it looks like something got spilled and then went into the hole in the finish. Of course, I have no idea if that's what happened, but it looks like that. Maybe someone rubbed on some polish and it went under the nitro.

Have you asked GP?

Yes I love their videos too, great playing through amps I'm familiare with. Their about a days drive from me, I ought to get myself down there:) Not too many gold tops for sale in Europe at the mo.

I've seen quite a few old guitars over the years that the owner tried to polish with lemon oil... ...results were all pretty similar....

I thought the logo was higher by the time the PAFs came on line...

It moved up later in '57. Roughly the first 1/2 of the '57 PAF GTs on BurstSerial have low logos. Then came the switch.

Yes I think the logo was a little lower in early 1957

nice guitar but 100 grand?

Prices in Europe tend to be a bit higher , because of import and extra tax duty involved. The seller is very well respected and has really nice vintage guitars from what I've seen in the past. :salude

Also harder to find high-end vintage guitars in Europe as a whole that are org. & that can be trusted , so the price reflects that fact. :jim
