64 SG Jr question

I just picked up an SG Jr off Ebay for $725. The seller had 0 feedback, bad pics, and almost NO description but I emailed him, called him several times , and with my almost 1000 transaction Ebay experience, was pretty certain this was NOT a scam but simply a seller w/ NO experience on "the bay". I was the only bidder and yesterday received a KILLER sounding SG w/ a big beefy neck and orig case !! I'm THRILLED

But the TP is ridge intonated for a WOUND G string. I know I will be using this ALOT and want the intonation to be as good as possible. I would LIKE a STOCK look but it's not NECESSARY.

I once had a TP that was just like this but was intonated w/ the G ridge further back for a PLAIN G ....but I've been searching all day and just cant find one anywhere.

Any ideas from the experts ???

Oh man. Score!!! I love my SG Jr. I was looking for that same type wraptail for a while. I saw one... *ONE* on ebay that sold for something like $110+. For that kind of money, I'd rather go with the Pigtail lightweight intonable unit. Doesn't look totally stock, but doesn't look bad by any means.

I'll try and get some pics - and YEP - orig screamin' P-90 !! It does have Grovers on there , which I may change, but they stay in tune just fine but look a little BIG and CHROME, dig ??

Stew-Mac has the Gotoh bar bridge replacements with one or two sliding sections... pretty close to stock, and adjustable! Some Hamers used to come with these.

I've heard of plain-G intonated bars, I think it was an Epi part. Can't remember where I heard about it tho.

I was just thumbing through the new MF catalog. It looks like the newish/once discontinued for $399 LP Jr's are back. The photo shows it with a compensated for plain G wraptail.
