Ok, I picked up a Jr. awhile back, and have a question. It has one pickup, a bridge dogear... What would be the tonal differences if I put a Duncan Antiq P90 dogear (neck) in the place of it, even tho it's a bridge placement.. Not really familier with 90's...

the sound will probably be weaker and brighter. neck pups are usually not as hot as a bridge pup. dont bother putting it in. if you need a new pup, get a bridge auntiquity. i have one in my 59 jr and it sounds like amillion bucks.

it seems to be a moot point now that you're looking for a bridge antiquity, but i was shopping for a new bridge P90 for my historic TV jr recently. i had trouble finding any dog ear antiquities in town. i did find one neck antiquity and i noticed that the covers and tabs on the baseplate are lower so that they mount lower in the guitar to balance with the bridge. so in addition to being weaker, they'll mount lower, making them especially weak in the bridge position.

i ended up ordering a fralin, which should be here any day.
