'57 Classics vs. '57 Classic +

I've got a '99 R9 stock. I am thinking about replacing one or both pickups with a '57 Classic + in the bridge and/ or bridge and neck both if recommended.

What I am trying to do here is get a little more punch out of the bridge pickup on my guitar. I run the bridge pickup quite high - close to the strings - and neck pickup just about flush with the ring and still don't have the punch when I go to the bridge. I do love the warm vintage sounds and would like to avoid too much spike and high end in the bridge. I would also consider putting a set of antiquities in the guitar as the guitar has been ridden hard and put up wet and looks like a Tom Murphy than a stock R9.

As you can see, I am looking for a good warm sound and would like the bridge pickup to be more powerful than the neck, however I am not necessarily looking for increasing the overall output. It's really the difference between the neck and the bridge pickup. As you can probably surmise, I need to spend some money very quickly here.

Any advice?

There are many choices. Try searching through this section of the forum. Toni, EdA and others have posted sound clips of Antiquities, Rolphs and other pickups in the Tone Zone. There is a lot of info. here to sift through. Grab your favorite beverage, sit back and sift.
