I've never seen a white one with black binding, nor did I know such configuration exists. Thanks for sharing.

I've seen a number of sunbursts but have only handled one, which I recall was exceptionally heavy. I do like the ornate inlays though.

Yes, they definitely weren't looking for the lightest mahogany back then!

Very nice!! I always loved the Artisans.
Looks like the '82 was made in Nashville??
I understand keeping everything original, but I never was a fan of the top-adjust bridge. But I do like the "crank" tuners!!

Wow, the black binding, first time i am seeing this.

These are often the heaviest Les Pauls, even more than Customs from this era. Do they sound similar?

2 very beautiful Artisans . I love the (Alpine ? ) white with the black binding . That is super cool and reminds me of a CBS era Fender Custom Telecaster (which is Olympic white body I believe ) with the black binding , double bound alder body . ( I bet you have one of those ? )

I was very much aware of these and other Slub rarities... from the 'prime time' of my magazine drooling!

Good to see things like these have found good homes :)

Man, I knew a dude who had a 1978 model that looked like that one. The inlays were freaky cool back then  ---- It was a great guitar for sure. It was stolen in 1981, I haven't thought about that one for a long time.
