• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

OK, 18watters,

I've committed to 6 sets of transformers and possibly four more sets. I'm sending out the check on Monday morning..I have 6 - 10 chassis sets on hold (thanks to favors from a good friend ) and I'm going to start ordering parts to get this going..

I have a headcount so far of committed people (or people who should be committed!! ;) These are folks who said they are interested and wanted to be in for sure..) (tentative on final price of course)

So far:

EdR
RICH
davepaf
Myself.

With maybes from the following: ( I based this criteria on your interest that you "may" be interested.)

Tonefiend
EdA
DaveP??
brucem
Ian Anderson
Crazy Carl

I'm gonna need cash deposits soon to continue the ordering and assembly process, so I'll get the pricing together this weekend and get it out for both kits and assembled chassis. You can then decide which way you'll want to go.. Kit will definately be cheaper than an assembled unit.

Once I get the pricing together I'll send that out and then you guys can decide if you want to continue and send out a deposit or drop off the list. No harm, no foul if you want to bail out. but I don't want to be holding 6 sets of trannies so I'll hold off on the chassis order until next week, and as soon as I get deposits, I'll order the rest of the stuff and get it packaged up and back out to you in your desired form after final payment.

I'll then give you my email address and you can give me your shipping adress and phone # and I'll forward the mailing address to you. After this is done and you have your package I'll destroy the list..

I will only be going to ten units at this time, and if there appears to be more interest, then maybe we'll do another run a month or two from now..

Also remember I'm not doing this for profit, but I do expect to be covered for shipping and handling supplies and a couple of hours to get this all boxed up and out to you.

Assembly charges will be reflected in the end price for those chassis.

So hopefiully this is all cool, and we'll be rockin'

I definately expect to see pictires as we go.. (I know, I owe a ton of pictures myself!!)

Hey EdR how close are you to Garland???
It's definately rolling now!!

-NOCD

PS.. One of my suppliers wants me to enter into a joint venture doing amp kits.. Wondering if I should do it??

When I lived in Hawaii, 2259 Kalakaua Ave was a sleazebag hotel right across the street from the Waikiki Zoo, and on hot days when the wind was just right you could smell the elephant shit.
Is the Denny's at the corner of Wakiki and Kalakaua ( upstairs) still there? You could eat outside on teh patio and watch the tourists on the boulevard- it's right across teh street from the beach. Last i heard, that particular spot was the most expensive piece of commercial real estate on the strip.

Count me in....

NOCD - please count me in on the project too. I'd definitely like to be in on the chassis/trannies/bare-board, and probably the resistors/caps/other-parts too. Just let me know where to send the $$$.....

Ed, 2259 Kalakaua is the Royal Hawaiian. Dont know about the Dennys. I havent been there for a year myself. The only Dennys I remember seeing was on Lewars St. It was next to my favorite bar so I remember that one.;)

They have a Denny's in Hawaii? Damn, my delusions of paradise are complete. Free dinner on your birthday, so that you won't get premature dry heaves from drinking mai-tais in the sun all day! I bet Lily hasn't found a smiley for THAT experience...

The Royal Hawaiian is WAY on the other side of the strip from teh Denn's on the corner- at least two miles away. If you know where the Canoe outriger Club is, and the old War Memorial, and the Aquarium, then you'll know where I'm talking about. It's the last cross-street on the boulevard before it gets to the Club on the far side.

All this talk is moving me from the maybe list to the committed list I think. Dave, Ill contact you by Monday to go over specifics. Thanks. -Ed

You didn't start it, Ed- not too long ago NOCD got interested in the 18 watt Marshalls, and I told him I'd buy him the parts if he biult me one when he did his own. Then Joe Ganzler bought a real one, and they started coming out of the woodwork, and people expressed majort interest- so NOCD decided to make it a project for all. I don't mind a bit, as long as I get my chassis that I can build a cab around and run with my 16-watt 4X12.
