So sweet.
But a harmonica bridge must be among the clunkiest, most devoid of style pieces ever stuck to a guitar.
If it were mine, it would get a TOM and stop tail and the original parts would only go back on for selling.

I was surprised as usually the posts for those don't fit in the stock bushings so they get replaced with inferior, or ill-fitting parts. IMNSHO, that is one of the most important places where a good solid contact must be maintained for good sound.

Glad you were able to make it work. Bridge differences are slight. It's he fitting that is most important.

Lovely guitar. cheers

i appreciate your perspective! i didn’t wanna fuck with anything deeply structural.

i did a bunch of online research (re:direct drop harmonica bridge replacement) and this particular bridge kept showing up.

some proper post op shots.

Looks like the low E has popped out of the saddle. I love L5s guitars (I own two GREAT examples 9.2 lb 2 piece top and 9.8lb 3 piece top) but I like the stock hardware better. Still a beautiful guitar you've got there and it sounds great. On mine I immediately went back to the stock tailpiece after trying a replacment, I felt the replacement changed the tone. (I typically don't use it for a Les Paul tone, I have plenty of great Les Pauls.)

Sweet fiddle! Nice that it has the standard humbuckers instead of those low impedance pickups that some came with. I always dug them, but every one I came across was way too heavy for my decrepit shoulders.
