Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
"On this day in 1965, John Mayall released the single Witch Doctor / Telephone Blues on Immediate Records, where I was a producer.
It was recorded at Pye Studios with jazzer Hughie Flint on drums, John McVie on bass (middle), John Mayall (left) on keyboards and vocals and Eric Clapton (right)...
Hey guys! I'm heading NYC early July and I'm looking for a entry level small vintage combo. Been serching on reverb for a $650 maximum price and got a few amps that got my attention. But the thing is I have some knowledge on marshalls and fenders, but nothing besides.
The amps that got my...
Seeing a korina Explorer being played isn't something ordinary, but I can't help myself but listen to that V very carefully. Amos is such a beast.
Also, Joe's tone is second to none. Little Girl, my favourite bluesbreaker's track, is impecable. Would love to see it trough a Marshall too...
It's been a while since I've seen anything from Simo here or on youtube, but now there's some new stuff going on. I think they spent some time at the studio recording for a new album
I really like this tune, and loved the wah work

Great clip of CD and Nate Telow jamming. Those are Joe's guitars, right? What's the setup?

PS is it wrong if I wish that a very beautiful girl get out of the stage...
Oh, forget the guitars! Just look at those guys hands! It's been a while I don't watch a video that gets me so hyped
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/76NFehA9s9k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I don't know if it's ok to link a thread from a different forum here, but this guy got my mind in a vortex.
Probably some people will find blind spots in his tests, but what he's saying and proving with detailed data is that electrically, Gibson and Epiphone pickups are pretty much the same...
1955 - The Another Brick in the Wall solo guitar
1956 - The one he's using regurlaly during his tours for over a decade. Bigsby isn't original to the guitar
Bonus mention to that awesome 1955 Esquire. Seymour Duncan was the former owner and put that pickup in there
I don't have a single clue of what they're saying, but that's a cool video. Tone's pretty close and they're definitely in the same ballpark, but of course the goldy is much cooler

Hi
I'm in a quest to age a guitar. I have a 95 MIM strat that I refinished it in black with nitro and I'm abusing it. Like playing everyday, sometimes with a big buckle, heavy pickin... I want it to age, and "naturally". Only artificial method I tried was to freeze it. We hardly get below 80º...
Don't know if vintage but it does look old
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VhfdDlkavAA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
They all sounded awesome, but that Special was... Special
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/9XuGb97SNJ8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This video really made me wonder. At one side, we have JD Simo, known for playing a few hundreds thousands dollars guitar through a few dozens thousands dollars amp, and at the other end, Jack Pearson, wich is known for using a Squier strat as a main guitar. This video doesn't show the brand of...
Been following this guy for a while and if you're into a Les Paul and a BUNCH of cranked vintage Marshalls, this is it!
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CcAsTNNYZKI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
A nice hat, Bloomfield, Duane and a huge Greg Koch walking around
Almost forgot, there's a 59 burst too
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/BxSGQpY91JU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Took the burstbuckers off my Studio few years ago, and decided to put the neck pickup on today. Put a AlNiCo IV magnet in and soldered to the pot.
First I noticed 60 cycle hum, wich I found very strange. Then it sounded quite single-ish. Not a strat or tele by any means, and I never played a...
Here we see JD with a EDS-1275, don't know what year but probably vintage, a '68 Vox Wah and a '69 Marshall 100w Super Lead, while his '62 ES-335TD and '60 Burst were taking a rest
Ah, almost forgot! There is some playing too
Enjoy :dude:
