Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Maybe my expectations wre high, but there's barely any NGD threads for the 60th anniversaries :hmm
Based on what I've seen so far, they should be more popular, yes?
I have this magnificent Murphy Aged 59 True Historic - rings like a bell and resonates like no other....but I'm wondering how come the center burst seems to be much darker than any guitar I've seen...
Looks to me like at one point Gibson were using a darker center burst (end of 2015 and...
I’m currently looking to buy 1, or 2 or more 2015 Gibson Les Paul True Historic 1959 in Dark Burst color only
must have nice curly flame (not chevron bbq style) and be lightweight
I’ll consider all offers

So all in all I owned about 9 different reissues of 1959s and also 2 of 1958s
It used to be that my preferred year of construction was 2014 as they are amazing in tone, feel. look.
When the 2015 series came out I was the first to scoff at them, obviously because of the price but also the...
Are you happy or sad? It seemed looking at several threads in the past some were complaining about various "issues for reissues"
Does anyone know if quality went up or down? Any plans for updates for specifications?
there must be a new signature on the COA now...
:fall
What do you think: if both were at the same
exact price- which would you choose and why?
Personally I still would go for the 2015 as they're rare and were picked by EW and RG
Also they were the closest to actual vintage guitars
Note: 2017 are now called standards (although they have SOME TH...
Just wondering if anyone here would like to sell their 59 True Historic LP in dark burst color - preferable a 2015 model. I've seen some great 2017 but they're in Tobacco burst. I prefer the dark rich red color.
So I have 3 Standard Historic R9s (1 made in 2013 and the 2 others made in 2014) and yet my 2015 True Historic 59 sounds sooooo much better, sweeter, open, "airier" than the other 3.:jim
No, the price doesn't affect my judgment as I paid the TH close to 5k (yes, good deal somewhat)
So my...
Got this 1959 TH beauty from House of Guitars
Amazing service and great guitars there!
Finally I got one with the smallest shoulders neck but great 59 thickness - almost feels like a soft v-neck!!!!
And for those who learned about me a bit....this one got the flame I was looking for.
Sorry I...
I can't for the life of me love a plain top! For me it's all about the flames
my only plain top is a vintage looking Gibson LPM but I can't bring myself to spend money on a regular plain top for a Reissue or Historic
sorry, just had to confess:##
I just bought a Gibson Les Paul True Historic and I'm happy to be the one who'll age it as time goes. I'm not sure I understand the idea of buying a guitar massacred by someone else though :hmm
I got offered bot at the same price of $6200. Not sure which one to go for. the 2017 is in Washed Cherry and the 2015 TH is in Vintage Cherry
Any input would be greatly appreciated
:salude
Thanks
