Got this beautiful looking - and playing - 2020 ML '58 yesterday. Bought it online and it really exceeded my expectations!

This is my 5th 58 RI and is easily the best (also the best LP I have ever owned). I owned a 2015 Murphy painted True Historic 58 RI for a while and this one blows it out of the water (though the TH did have a cooler looking top).

8.3lbs, neck carve more like a '59, can get the action pretty low, really rings out when played unplugged, and the pickups are bright and articulate (the neck pickup has no mud at all).

Tried to take some new pics, but the lighting in my apartment is bad and I can't get them right, so I'm going to post the seller's pics (if you're on the forum, Jim, thanks again - for the guitar and for the high quality pics!).

That is damn nice, congrats! So, is it top wrapped or not?

Thanks! Wasn't top wrapped when it arrived. I don't like top wrapping anyway - prefer to use Faber spacers if I need to raise the tailpiece.

It’s beautiful, but my OCD would want me to touch up all the dings and paint damage. It sucks that I can’t ever own a reliced guitar, it really does.

It feels like an old guitar, though. If you had this in hand, I suspect that you wouldn't care about the dings and checking.

Sounds great. That's a Les Paul alright. No doubt about it. What amp are you using btw, and how come you're not singing!
Thank you!

I was running through an Origin Effects Cali76 compressor into a SoloDallas Shaffer Replica boost/limiter into my Marshall Origin 50w combo. It's way too loud for my apartment, so I recorded it silently though a TwoNotes Captor X using a Victory 4x12 IR.

I'm not singing because I don't want you all to close your browser tab in disgust, LOL.

Right on man! Looks kinda like Frank Pine's old 59. :) (see attached photo)

Yours sounds really good too! It's in good hands. Congrats!

Thanks! That '59 is sweet looking!

Mine def has a similar vibe - even the neck is more like a '59 carve than a more stereotypical '58 carve. It's a perfect fit for my hands.
